About Me
As a little girl, I was fascinated by animals and could spend all day observing squirrels, collecting caterpillars, or coaxing my neighbor’s cat out from under the couch. Fast forward through many years and many jobs, and I found myself working as a high school science teacher encouraging kids to pursue their dreams. My students in turn inspired me to follow my heart, and in 2008 I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.
In 2009 I completed an intensive year-long internship at NYC Veterinary Specialists (BluePearl Veterinary Partners) rotating through Emergency, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Oncology, and Behavior. I have worked in several busy small animal veterinary clinics in the South Shore area and Rhode Island and am especially interested in feline medicine and animal behavior. I am a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Veterinary Information Network, and am a Fear Free certified practitioner. Volunteering as a surgeon at local shelters and advocating for pet adoption are important to me, and I'm extremely excited to provide in home service to my neighbors and their pets.
I live in Sharon with my husband, two young daughters, and two cuddly tabby cats. The cats enjoy posing in windows and hunting for bugs, and the rest of us enjoy outdoor activities, traveling, and laughing with friends.
